Dear friend,
I remember you visited us in Volgograd on the Anniversary of Victory in Stalingrad battle over fascist. You told many right things about inadmissibility of fascism return, about great importance of that victory for world history. Your words were: “The turn in the whole war was here, in Stalingrad battle. What could have happened if the history had gone differently? That’s why I’m here”.
Mike, you told about «reload», that Russia and USA should have common objectives… But what was happened? You supported sanctions against Russia? In your interview for NBCNews you told Russia is against the whole world, that economic sanctions must work for the future, that these sanctions is the wise step… But why? What bad things has Russia done?
Yes, I understand sometimes our government makes mistakes. I live in Russia and can criticize both Putin and ministers. But tell me Mike what has Putin done wrong as for Ukraine? Maybe he was to have acted as USA usually acts?
Maybe Kremlin was to have made carpet bombings in Ukraine? And then to catch and to hang leaders of Maidan? Because you know Americans have made it in Iraq… And maybe we’re wrong with Crimea, Mike? We have organized a referendum. Probably we should have acted as Americans in Kosovo. To create conditions when population, who wants to separate, would massacre those who wants to be a part of Ukraine. But sorry Mike, it was a mistake. Most of Crimea population, overwhelming majority, has dreamt more than 20 years to join Russia. In Kosovo it was differently. In Kosovo there were most of Serbians who wanted to stay within Serbia, but your government has decided differently by committing genocide of native population and at the same time by opening doors for Albanians who was the minority group in Kosovo before American aggression against Yugoslavia.
By the way, about aggression. Mike, yesterday one remarkable American word had its anniversary . This word is “OK”. Do you remember what does this word mean? It’s translated as “zero killed». In this sense in Crimea our military didn’t kill anybody. I understand that for perception of American it sounds absurdly. How is that? Military came and killed nobody. Believe Mike it could happen! Imagine that these soldiers realized peace-making objectives there. You might ask: Why? In Western Ukraine rebels plundered ammunition depot, tens of thousands of weapon’s units, including tens of MANPADS (SA-18 Grouse) were stolen. What could have happened if armed gunmen who hate Russians had entered Crimea? You know Mike, in Crimea most of population is Russians! Russia had to defend Russians from armed terrorist? So what’s the aggression? And exactly about it your friend, President Barack Obama, tells continuously. He tells all the time about a kind of aggression. Of course he should know better because he is a Nobel peace prize winner! He knows better what “aggression” is. Because he made a peace in Libya (more than 50 000 dead and every day people continue to die), he promotes peace and democracy in Syria (already more than 1 000 000 dead, hundreds of thousands of refugees). And predecessors of Barack Obama? Bush was killing people in Iraq and Afghanistan, Clinton – in Yugoslavia … etc.. Each American President is on his honour to kill as many people all over the world as possible. And here Russia didn’t kill anybody in Ukraine! Obama has a disruption of pattern? For this reason is he so furious? Or might he had plans of Syrian scenario in relation to Ukraine? But won’t you, Mike, deny the fact that USA was a sponsor of this coup d'etat. I understand, too little blood. Only one hundred people on protesters’ side, thirty on police’s side, several accidental victims. This is not enough, isn’t it? In Kharkov gunmen from Western Ukraine supported by Kiev government killed only two persons. Did White House want more blood? And here Russian soldiers in Crimea cooled off terrorists in Kiev.
USA keeps talking about morals, about some international law… Tell, Mike, do they, in White House, know what international law is about? When state secretary juggle with evidences in order to attack Iraq or when they started to bomb Yugoslavia in circumvention of the ban of UNO. Or when they were destroying Libya although UNO banned military aviation’s flights. Well, about morals – it’s simply ridiculous! Really, anyone, but not USA, has the right for morals! Even North Korea and Sudan have more morals than USA.
Present our apologies to Obama, Mike! We have disappointed him. We didn’t bomb Kiev, we didn’t make purges, we didn’t fire Lvov with depleted uranium shells. We aren’t going to war with Ukrainians at all because we consider them our brothers… Nation we have common thousand-year history with and common roots. And all our aggression consists only in that we don’t let them kill each other. We don’t manage to “follow same interests with USA”, we are peace-loving nation. Our interest consists in the peace at our borders! I see it’s difficult for American to understand.
And thank you for sanctions! Imagine that our oligarchs begin to return their money to Russia and now it starts working not for your economy but for ours. And 100 billion from FED returned home. And all this during only two weeks! And how tried MasterCard and Visa! Now, finally, we will launch our own international payment system. We have it. But our bankers didn’t want to be bothered to do it because they used your system. And now MasterCard and Visa have shown that they can’t be trusted! That they don’t care about contracts, about their name. And it’s very good! It’s good for us because we won’t let our partners down. China has already taken an interest in our system.
I have a favour to ask of you, Mike! Tell Obama that we ask for some more sanctions. For example, we desire that you open your reserves and reduce oil price! You see we need very much that oil price will be not higher than 80$. Our industry will become more competitive then. And because of reduction of income from primary goods’ sale we will invest more in processing and engineering industries and to develop small-scale business. And as well, please hint to Obama that it would be a good thing to exclude Russia from WTO. We hastened very much and entered this organization on very unfavorable terms for us. And besides, agree it’s very strange that principle of WTO is equal rights, mutuality, transparence, but in practice it turns out that some have more rights than other, mutuality is one-sided and all have transparence except USA. Protectionism of American economy is simply impenetrable. It turns out that all are equal but USA is the most equal!
By the way we talked about Ukraine. Sorry, Mike, I digressed to economy. Yes! Economy! Has Obama already thought of what he will feed Ukraine? Those 5 billion dollars that USA (including American oligarchs like George Soros) gave for coup d'etat were spent and embezzled for a long time. Ukraine has been protesting already 5 months instead of working. They had earlier huge problems with economy, especially when such “expert” as Viktor Yushchenko and Yulia Tymoshenko put their hand to it. And now there is no Ukrainian economy at all! Mike, do you know how much money should be injected in Ukraine in order the economy starts working? Before May about 50 billion dollars and after that till the end of the year the same amount. And it mustn’t be the credit but direct investment, often non-repayable. EU doesn’t have such money. They don’t even have money for Greece and Spain saying nothing of Ukraine. Is USA ready to give a present to Ukraine of 100 billion dollars? Will Obama give money to illegitimate government in Kiev which is controlled actually by fascists from “Right Sector” and “Svoboda” (Freedom)? Does Obama really know who fascists are? If not, please arrange on the lawn in front of White House the action Ku Klux Klan. Only less than 100 years ago KKK was organizing parades in Washington. Ask Barack - will he be happy to have such parades today?
Well, I repeat again your words: “The turn in the whole war was here, in Stalingrad battle. What could have happened if the history had gone differently?” . The history in Ukraine went differently, and to a large extent because of USA policy. You, as political science professor, have to understand this. USA has opened Pandora's box. Ask you friends in Poland, from Jagiellonian University, what “Ukrainian rebel army” is about. And judging by your thesis «Southern African Liberation and Great Power Intervention: Towards a Theory of Revolution in an International Context» you must understand the position of Russia about Ukrainian issue.
Well, Mike! Good luck at your new field of TV expert. Although as we joke: «It doesn’t just happen to be a former one…. » ;)
