I finally got back out shooting this weekend, after a 3-month hiatus. Met up with +Alex Mody, Kristina Wilson, and Kevin out at Rowena for some wildflower action. We got some great light the first night we were there. The wind was a pain to deal with, but I pressed on through the arduous task of the DoF blend today.

Canon 5D2, 17-40L

6 exposures manually blended: 
- 5 for DoF at f/11, ISO 400
- 1 for sky dynamic range/sunstar at f/22, ISO 100

Washington's Palouse Falls at twilight in early summer.

Because my 18mm-equivalent 12-24 wasn't wide enough for a pleasing single-shot horizontal comp from this vantage, a panoramic stitch was required.

Five exposures total:
- Three verticals stitched for the landscape: 30s, ISO 100, f/8
- One horizontal for the sky (for dynamic range): 2s, ISO 100, f/8
- One horizontal for the stars 1/2 hour later: 30s, ISO 1600, f/4

A vertical version of my previous image "Azure". Single 3-minute exposure taken last September at Crater Lake. 

The light on the tree was more red/magenta in this one - it was taken right after the previous horizontal, so there must have been more of an opening in the clouds at the horizon in that span of time. I normally wouldn't post two such similar images, but people kept commenting on the top of the tree getting cut off in the horizontal, so HERE'S YOUR VERTICAL. YOU HAPPY? I am. Sort of.
