A fallen tree in the desert
Last time I was in the arches national park, I saw this tree lying around and I thought this could be a nicse composition. Unfortunately I took only one image and not a tripple for a real hdr image. It was at the beginning of my photo adventure and sometimes I think, why I didn't know then, what I now knows. But I like this image anyway.

Living in the past
If you ever stay in Bergen Norway, go for a visit to "Gamle Bergen". It's like Balenberg in Switzerland, a museum for whole houses. All buildings you can see there where moved from the center of Bergen to this place to preserve the past. Now you can stay there and see how an old city has looked in the past, a century ago. I took this picture by the entrance of Gamle Bergen.

Watching fullmoon on the summit
It was under -15°C while I was lying in the snow. My feets are getting colder and colder, because I was up on the peak before sunset. Now after the sun was going down, you can still see the last glow of the day at the horizon, I could take some starscapes. Because it was so bright of the moon light, I took an hdr exposure series. In winter when the landscape is covered with snow and the moon is shining you can see the whole landscape allmost by daylight. On the other hand you can only see the brightest stars and surely no Milky Way.

The thunderstorm and the lavender
This year I was visiting the french region Provence for watching the the flower of the lavender fields in the middle of July. I thought there were everything full of lavender fields, but you have to know, where you have to search. Because not every field is photogenic. Some fields are to small, others are to dry or the background is not beautiful or whatever. But nearby the village of Valensole you can find some very beautiful places, until it beguns to rain. With a sigh I finished the photo session in my mind, as my wife told me, that she can see some flashes at the horizon. I took an immediate stop, jumped out of the car built up my tripod and took MANY pictures, until this! Sometimes rain isn't that bad :)
It's an exposure series of 3 images with 2EV steps.
