Piña Colada Steel Cut Oatmeal ~ I wanted this shoot to be light and airy. With the island flavors I incorporated lots of turquoise & blues in my props (ocean colors.) The blues help to bring out the yellow pineapple pieces. Oatmeal styling is all about the toppings to me ~ they give a bland colored food lots of color and character. Natural light, on camera flash.

Cold Soba with Asparagus

I've been super busy finishing up processing from a day long shoot last week.  But not too busy to get a quick shot of a light dinner last night.  The cold soba and light sesame dressing was the perfect meal after a warm afternoon.  And it was nice to step away from the computer for a little while.
