EUR/USD Intraday Technical Levels for Jully 6, 2012

TODAY's   TECHNICAL   LEVELS:

Breakout BUY Level: 1.2453.

Strong Resistance: 1.2446.

Original Resistance: 1.2434.

Inner Sell Area: 1.2422.

Target Inner Area: 1.2392.

Inner Buy Area: 1.2363.

Original Support: 1.2352.

Strong Support: 1.2339.

Breakout SELL Level: 1.2331.

 

DESCRIPTION:

Today EUR/USD has support and resistance at 1.2352 and 1.2434 and is accompanied by strong support at 1.2339 and by 1.2446 as strong resistance.

If EUR/USD breaks out and closes below a 1.2331-level today, then this will indicate considerable bearish strength, while if EUR/USD manages to break out and close above a 1.2453-level, then this will denote high bullish strength. Alternatively, you can trade in a way to open a BUY position at the level of 1.2363, and at 1.2422– a SELL position, in this case both targets should be located at the level of 1.2392.

EUR/USD Weekly Analysis For July 05, 2012 (Weekly Strategy)

The Euro-Dollar pair has a strong level of support as part of the weekly fractal 1.2385, this level is important in defining the trend in the coming months. If this level is breaches and the market closes the week below 1.2384, it will mean that the euro can reach 1.20.
On the other hand, a weekly close above this level increases the likelihood of upward sequence to our target of 1.2890.
Today and tomorrow, we would expect that the market is too volatile for this currency pair. Given that, it is interesting to see, what kind of reaction at the end of the week will be.
We should remember that the announcement about nonfarm payroll out on Friday can affect this pair as well.

GBP/USD Buy Rebound Above 1.5480 - For July 05, 2012 (Daily Strategy)

GBP/USD fell during both Wednesday’s and today’s sessions due to the BoE’s decision on the monetary policy and the uncertainty that comes after the announcement.
Right now it is approaching the weekly fractal which is located at 1.5386. It is a very strong indicator aswe could observe support and resistance last week. So this is a key level because here the pair found a strong rebound. Therefore, market expects the return to the maximum level of consolidation at 1.5720.
I find this pair as a binary trade, which shows a consolidation between these levels: we can buy above 1.5480 and sell below 1.5750.
The MACD indicator is showing signs of oversold.

Fundamental Analysis, for July 05, 2012

While the Bank of England left its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 0.5%, and continued to stimulate the economy through the purchase of assets at a higher dose than expected, the European Central Bank has just cut interest rates to 0.75% from 1%.
This fact was not a surprise because there was information about possible rate reduction.
The reasons for such measures taken by the ECB will be explained at 8:30 am Eastern at the press conference which will give, as usual, the Chairman Mario Draghi.
Some expect the euro to plunged, breaking firmly in the area of ​​1.26 that was moved during the first hours of the day. The Swiss franc comes to the level of 0.9640, while the pound barely felt the impact, yielding only a few points from the 1.56 that was before the news.
Meanwhile, the Australian dollar and the Canadian dollar both remain strong as well as gold and oil and they are all reaching new highs for several weeks.
It is expected that in some hours the news that will trigger significant movements on the market. First the employment data by the ADP will make the market act.
Then the ISM will disclose all key data about the nonfarm payrolls and unemployment rate.
The Dow futures are now with upward trend, while the DAX 30 is in the same direction, even when after returning from 2-month highs.

USD/CAD Intraday Technical Analysis and Linear Regression Channels for July 5, 2012

On Friday the USD/CAD pair expressed a massive bearish reaction towards the upper limit of the Yellow channel around 1.0355 making a quick bearish movement of about 200 pips then reaching the lower limit of the Blue channel around 1.0160 and exceeding the Average Daily Range by about 75 pips.
USD/CAD is still moving downwards but within narrow ranged zone and without obvious swings which indicates a possible change in current bearish direction which was confirmed with obvious bullish reaction towards the mid-line of the Yellow & Blue channels around 1.0099 manifested in the bullish engulfing 1H candlestick.
The USD/CAD pair managed to break through the upper limit of the Yellow channel at 1.0125 which is considered as an Intraday Support Level where valid BUY entry can be taken with SL located below 1.0080.
TP levels for this BUY position should be located around 1.0160, 1.0200 & 1.0240.
