2011-09-16 10:07:10 (читать в оригинале)

FEATURE
By Paul Macdonald

With Barcelona fans salivating in the prospect of landing luxury signings from their revered report of targets, los Cules may be forgiven for glossing much more than their pursuit of Sporting Gijon full-back Jose Angel Valdes.

After all, with Barca presently resting in the pinnacle from the European game, any participant finding a modicum of ambition would like to check their talents at Camp Nou. But even although bids for Cesc Fabregas, Giuseppe Rossi and Alexis Sanchez would provide scintillating options in Pep Guardiola's squad, Jose Angel's add-on appears to acquire instead additional functional. The left facet has lengthy been an place of weakness using the Catalan giants, and Guardiola would like to inject youthful blood vessels finding a participant he believes could possess the ability to fulfil, eventually, what is required from the full-back at Barcelona.

But just who is this 21-year-old? The stopper is unlikely to acquire well-known outside Spanish borders - apart from in Rome, precisely where newly-appointed instructor Luis Enrique may be also believed to acquire an admirer - but he has quietly turned heads with his understated method and composure concerning the left flank for his hometown club of Sporting.

He started out his job predominantly employed getting a left-midfielder, apparent all through the comfy character with which he controls the ball, and attempts to create constructively. Ironically, his debut bodily appearance in La Liga using the Asturians arrived within a 3-1 defeat to Barca in 2009, and as he has rose to prominence, he has revealed that he has metal on his facet - highlighted in his gritty defensive shows within a narrow 1-0 defeat at Camp Nou this season, as well as in Sporting's now-infamous earn at Santiago Bernabeu that ended Jose Mourinho's nine-year unbeaten report at home. Malaga experienced been alerted to his talents in January, but experienced been unable to finish a deal, and he remained at Sporting - but appears unlikely to hang near to for an even more season.

SNAPSHOT | JOSE ANGEL (Sporting Gijon Spain U21)

Read additional on Jose Angel
Age: 21

Contract: 2014

Intl caps: 4 caps at U21 level

Position: Left-Back

Value: 4m

10-11 apps: 26 (0 gls)

Current Form: worldwide understudy
In 5 words: Emerging expertise impressing large clubs

Angel seems, then, to acquire the ideal hybrid; qualified in his duties getting a defender, but achieved enough to hold out a part even more forward if required. to not create a comparison in any way, but Dani Alves combines these duties to devastating effect concerning the ideal flank, and Guardiola obviously believes that with advancement the raw expertise could sooner or later on be congruous using the club's ideals, and evolve right into a ideal choice concerning the opposite side. Furthermore, with Barca working over a tight budget, a cut-price offer for an impressionable youthful star with Primera Division knowledge tends to make his capture every one of the additional enticing.

Jose Angel has also experienced accomplishment in the European Under-21 Championship in Denmark all through the previous month, regardless of finding himself actively playing 2nd fiddle to AC Milan's Didac Vila all through the commencing XI, and may be mindful that with Joan Capdevila's worldwide job coming to an end, there may be an intense combat to turn into earliest option using the complete nationwide facet throughout the up coming handful of years. A proceed to Barcelona, even to compete within their hugely effective B team, can be considered a football training that could unquestionably stand him in great stead.

Let's not get forward of ourselves, however; Jose Angel is not however ready for normal first-team duties at a club for example Barcelona. Eric Abidal is founded to hint a brand recognize new contract to run on that facet for an even more two years, even although Adriano persists to be an choice as back-up. Thus, Barca's B squad all through the Segunda up coming time period may maybe prove to acquire his earliest port of telephone call should unquestionably a offer sooner or later on be completed.

Barca's original method using the participant was rebuked by Sporting, who are holding out for just about any amount closer to 4 million, and their demands have led to some delay in organization getting concluded - permitting Roma to potentially hijack the deal. Enrique is wanting to discover an choice to John Arne Riise all through the celebration the Norwegian departs the Stadio Olimpico, also it is no coincidence how the past instructor of Barcelona's second-string has also specific the full-back as he appears to provide a comparable brand recognize of football in the direction of the Italian capital.

however the participant himself has stressed a desire to be a member of the European champions, recently stating: "Barcelona really are a amazing club and I am self-confident I could make lots of progress there. I wish that Sporting will reconsider Barcelona's provide and sooner or later on accept it." With every one of the extravagant sums the Spanish giants are speculated to acquire spending, Jose Angel's purchase is most certainly one using the potential in mind, and may maybe also, in time, represent an astute product of business.

Why Inter's appointment of Gian Piero Gasperini could hasten the exit of Manchester United concentrate on Wesley Sneijder

2011-09-16 10:06:52 (читать в оригинале)

EXCLUSIVE FEATURE
By Salvatore Landolina and Kris Voakes

Wesley Sneijder may be pushed away from Inter as new instructor Gian Piero Gasperini prepares to introduce his favoured 3-4-3 method at San Siro, leaving the way in which obvious for Premier League champions Manchester United to create a bid for that Dutch superstar.

Goal.com understands that Gasperini, in alliance with his trusted assistant Luca Tucchi, is ready to shake up the preliminary set picture, sticking with a development which has served him nicely from the previous but which would complete result from the futures of Sneijder and Brazilian full-back Maicon getting thrown into question.

Sneijder was the principal on-field catalyst at the rear of Inters progression from continental wannabes to Italian and European champions in 2009-10, but greater compared to previous twelve weeks he has suffered from lethargy and injury as well as contracted anaemia since the sides reliance upon him has used its toll. The Nerazzurri have also confirmed indicators of owning reached the complete of the cycle, leaving the preliminary set in terrific need of the rejig.

I'm leaving, and I'm getting my ball with me | Sneijder may possibly determine to proceed on

Now the entrance of Gasperini is in all probability to possess a knock-on effect for the attacker, like a 3-4-3 method would leave no space for Sneijder to run from his preferred trequartista position. He would instead be requested to begin as possibly a broad forward or perhaps a winger, a area which would need a terrific offer of defensive self-control from the previous Genoa coachs formation.

Though a slight deviation to some 3-4-1-2 would permit Sneijder to stay in his favoured role, Gasperini is mentioned to acquire toward the notion of altering his plan to hold out using a method such as two broad forwards possibly part of his principal concentrate on man, leaving the Dutchman at a loose end.

The bleak outlook for that No. 10 at Appiano Gentile, as well as the game fanatics seemingly itchy ft he recently said: I adore Inter, but God only understands if Ill stay suggests that any standard approach by Manchester United, who guide the queue of suitors for Sneijder, are going to be met with relish by club president Massimo Moratti. within their desire to run within of the brand new restrictions positioned on clubs by fiscal reasonable Play, Inter are keen to money in on big-name game fanatics who are much less suited to Gasperinis preferred design of play.

So even although Sneijder are going to be cast aside, there may be also in all probability to acquire an exit for Maicon, who was pursued lengthy and difficult by genuine Madrid last summer. Inter held out for 30 million, which scared away the Spaniards and resulted from the Brazilian staying in Milan, but this time near to they are going to be considered a good offer more ready to cut back ties using the rampaging full-back many thanks to his reduce in type and his unsuitability to some 3-4-3.

But the exceptional information for Inter fans are going to be the fact that Samuel Etoo are going to be kept on below the brand new mans regime, with his ability to hold out away the left of the three-man entrance collection owning been a beneficial commodity toward the club below Jose Mourinho and Leonardo. This keep track of report are going to be crucial that you Gasperini as he appears founded to collection up with Giampaolo Pazzini as his principal concentrate on dude and Diego Milito toward the right. That is to not say Etoo is unsellable, as an provide from the place of 30-35m from Manchester village could see the 30-year-old marketed on, but Inter will resist any bid below that as they wish to acquire in a location to count concerning the Cameroon striker for some time yet.

The prepared add-on of Genoas Rodrigo Palacio could see his Argentine compatriot decreased to some bit-part role, though, as Militos bad 2010-11 return has alerted the club to some should glance for alternatives. And possibly a good offer more importantly his signing would reinforce Gasperinis desire to revert to some 3-4-3 system, leaving Sneijder going for just about any clean start as Inter glance toward the long-term instead of force their most imaginative participant to adapt to some a good offer more work-orientated setup.
